If you could read that article I referred to, you could have seen how a Tehrani guy defends Central Asian Persians (Tajiks) in front of Press TV's ignorance and how he identifies Rudaki. That's why it's better not to see everything in black and white. Rainbow looks more natural.Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10014740771377345619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825660.post-85912621384241607892008-01-08T00:31:00.000+00:002008-01-08T00:31:00.000+00:00Don't be sorry mate. Whatever you are thinking or feeling today is creating your future. So, it's better to think of us as united and strong rather than feeble and torn apart by thorns of meagre regionalism and petty sectarianism. Together we are stronger. That's a part of the law of attraction. Be happy and wish well to your nation:)

DDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10014740771377345619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825660.post-26835941121607990862008-01-07T22:34:00.000+00:002008-01-07T22:34:00.000+00:00Again, you are ignoring the facts. Thus, it's not me who's being led by emotions, but you. And please, do not misinterpret my words. I have never said that "everyone who calls himself Tajik is pan-turkist", have I? Please go back and see what I precisely say: Tajiks are Iranian, Iranians are Tajik and whoever doesn't accept it is either ignorant or not a well-wisher. It was to the hands of imperialists to see us devided and still it is. And you as a genuine Tajik are not supposed to follow them.
If you want to see Tajiks as a prosperous nation, we have to learn our Persian language properly, otherwise we are stuck and forgotten for good. Language is the main factor of survival for any nation. And without learning Persian script you will never succeed to speak a proper Tajik, believe me.

Have fun,
DariusDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10014740771377345619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825660.post-67596308833922294172008-01-06T08:51:00.000+00:002008-01-06T08:51:00.000+00:00Dear Darius,Does it mean that everyone who is call...Dear Darius,

Does it mean that everyone who is calling him Tajik is pan-turkist?

How many of our people could read and write in Arabic(!) alphabet? I'm sure if one of them (your ancestors who could write and read Persian) heard you, s/he would have been more than upset. Especially when you are writing in English and bragging about your Persian ignorance. If you think our language is other than Persian and Tajiks are other than Iranians or Persians, you have been following the very pan-turkists of the early 20th century, and again, I'm sorry for you. It will be replaced by a statue of the ninth-century Tajik poet, Rudaki…. They believe a statue of Rudaki, the founder of Tajik literature, is a more fitting ideological figure for the city.”

The BBC knows or should have known that Rudaki was in fact Iranian (not Tajik) and numerous reliable sources including ‘Britannica’ have confirmed him to be the ‘Father of Persian poetry’ and the first Iranian poet to compose poems in the ‘New Persian’ in Arabic alphabet.

Rudaki was born c. 859, Rudak, Khorasan of Iran. A talented singer and instrumentalist, Rudaki served as a court poet to the Samanid ruler Nasr II (914-943) in Bukhara until he fell out of favor in 937. He ended his life in wretched poverty.

Approximately 100,000 couplets are attributed to Rudaki, but of that enormous output, fewer than 1,000 have survived, and these are scattered among many anthologies and biographical works. He died in 940/941, Rudak.

SBB/HGHAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
